Books in Every Bag is thrilled to support the Charleston Library Society (CLS) for their groundbreaking Bookmobile Program.
Event Highlights:
The Bookmobile: A modern take on the traditional bookmobile, delivering books to children in need.
First Library Book Set (Provided by Books in Every Bag): In collaboration with the Charleston Library Society, Books in Every Bag will provide a first library book to newborns leaving local hospitals serving over 800 children and parents in the LowCountry each month.
Community Partnerships: Together with CLS, we aim to strengthen and support early childhood literacy by delivering books through community partnerships and drop locations.
Charleston Library Society’s inaugural fundraiser, supported by Jenna Bush Hager, will feature significant fanfare over two days in September. Join us and CLS in making a lasting impact on early childhood literacy in the Greater Charleston area.
Together, we can equalize opportunity and ensure all children have access to the joy of reading.

Book and Author Luncheon
We had a very successful Book and Author event on April 26th. Thank you those who visited us at the event and supported the literacy effort through the purchase of raffle tickets, and congratulations to the four winners of the Lladro Spanish porcelain pieces: Fran Ligon, Clara Heinsohn, Marianne McLean, and Kathy Walsh.
9-Hole Chip & Sip
We hosted our fundraiser at The Links at Stono Ferry Clubhouse; the event was a resounding success, bringing together community members and supporters to champion literacy and provide books to young children in need. We thank all of our donors and participants for their generous support! Your contributions help us make a significant difference.
